SHINE Program
Providing essential needs and representation for the vulnerable in East Africa.
As His Voice Global partnered with the community to build the Arise Center, a need became clear. Many of its neighbors had one or more family members with a disability, making the basic necessities of life even more difficult to attain.
Shine is the integrative care program His Voice Global launched to care for the most vulnerable in The Arise Center’s community. Providing for essential needs and representation to ensure they can thrive no matter their circumstance.
Because we know many in East Africa face similar hardships, our hope is to replicate Shine in the other areas where we are serving. We know from our time spent in South Sudan the need there is great, so expanding our services to care for those with disabilities is a natural extension of the work we are already doing.
In 2023, the Shine Ministry has served the communities around the Arise Center by:
Impacting 1080 people by providing integrative care to those with identified needs
Providing food, clean water, and medical help for $.36 per day per person
Building 20 new homes and provided 18 new thatched roofs
Initiating physical therapy and handicapped assistance to handicapped and hurting in northern Uganda
