Renew

The Lord states in the book of Revelation that he is “making all things new.” It has always been our hope that the programs within our ministry would lead to widespread renewal, through the truth of the gospel, wherever he calls us to serve Him. Therefore, the third aspect of our ministry is to see renewal among those we serve in their relationship with the Lord, their personal relationships, and within their communities. 

Our theological training and discipleship is designed to equip the local church for evangelization and as they disciple others who grow in their knowledge of the Lord. With our partners in Kenya and Uganda we have teams of trainers who are leading groups through the curriculum. As a result, the Gospel of Jesus Christ is being shared with multiple tribes and unreached peoples including those with a Muslim background. We continue to pray that these disciples will work to heal the brokenness in their own communities.

Many of our own students are attending the training and in turn have the opportunity to share the gospel in their schools and with others. A number of young disciples from the refugee camps of Northern Uganda have been studying the curriculum and return to their camp to evangelize and share the good news. It has been amazing to see and hear how God is using this new generation of believers seek to bring hope and renewal to groups of people who have been displaced by war and famine.

We continue to look for opportunities to stimulate economic development in areas where widows and orphans have found it difficult to make their own way. As they experience God’s desire to see them flourish they can have a profound impact within their communities by helping others do the same. Through them we begin to see the kind of renewal God intends for His people.
