His Voice Newsletter 6/21

Who Are You?

Knowing who you are and where you are going is important in life. Whether planning for the future or making decisions in everyday life, having a roadmap to guide you is essential.

At His Voice Global we take our Mission and Vision statements seriously because they help drive our decisions and keep us on track. For instance, our mission of raising up leaders among the vulnerable is expressed daily by our four primary, on-going programs, which are called Arise, Shine, Thrive, and Alive.

Can You Help?

In order to keep on track with our 2022 budget, we need some help.

The summer months are historically a bit slower on the fundraising front, so we hope you can help us keep pace. Specifically, summer is a good time of year to do some "capacity building" to make sure our domestic staff is ready to fully support our Mission and Vision.

Raising Up Leaders

Welcome to a new section of our feed, Raising Up Leaders

From the vulnerable days of childhood to becoming future adult leaders in their communities, our hope is that monthly you will get to know our students individually and catch a glimpse of their world. We can’t wait for you to see how God has allowed you to be a part of relationships restored, communities renewed.

Meet Elizabeth.

Elizabeth grew up in South Sudan and has two older sisters and one older brother. Her parents passed away when she was very young. Elizabeth came into our care in Morobo as a small child. She spent her elementary and middle school years there. She started at Nehemiah Orphanage and Secondary School in 2014. After graduating high school, Elizabeth moved to Juba and worked as a sales lady. She wasn’t sure what the future held and was on the verge of thinking there was nothing for her. Thankfully, in 2019, Asiki called and asked Elizabeth if she would like to begin attending University. She was excited about the opportunity and moved to Arua in June 2019.

Elizabeth is attending Makerere University Business School with the intent of receiving her National Certificate in Business Administration. This is a foundation certificate for her to obtain her diploma in social work. She is set to graduate with her certificate this August.

In Uganda, each University student must gain experience by interning at a company in their field of study. Elizabeth’s desire is to work with the community. She was able to intern with the Uganda Red Cross Society! She enjoyed her experience. The Red Cross does a great job with students by having each student spend a bit of time in each area of the Red Cross, including all types of field work and office work.

Elizabeth loves cooking, watching movies, and listening to Taylor Swift.

Elizabeth is hopeful for the next step in her life and is so thankful that God brought Mike and Meg into her life to continue her education. She wants to be independent and work for herself. Please pray for Elizabeth this month to grow in her relationship with the Lord and for doors to open for her future education and life.
