HVG Stories : Emmanuel Asiki Benson

Hello Everyone,

I am Asiki Emmanuel. I was born on the 10th May 1990 to Benson Kwaje, my Dad, and Joyce Sanya, my Mom, in a small village called Rubeke in the south Sudan.

I have five Brothers and five sisters and I am the first born of my Mom. I lost my Dad way back in 2002 and became an orphan. My Mom was unable to provide for us all the basic needs like school, medical, and shelter. In 2005 EPC (Evangelical Presbyterian Church) took us in and started providing for all that we needed in partnership with His Voice Global, which tirelessly supported us. I lived in the orphanage for 12 years and now am a graduate from The International University of East Africa with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

The main vision of my life is to be family focused. The importance of a family to an orphan like myself after college or university studies is essential.

Family is the most important and valuable gift God has given us. It is the first lesson in relationship with others. Family means to feel secure, along with having someone who you can count on and whom you can share your problems with. But it also means to have respect for other each other and responsibility.

As a young man my desire is to have a family or build a family and reunite with my family members because I believe a perfect helps in building an ideal society. Family offers the utmost protection and security, along with receiving basic values of life. Family helps to shape a child’s future.

Thank you to His Voice Global in providing education to students and restoring societies. My future plans are to work with HVG and see my fellow orphans go through education and build families based on the biblical aspects of family.
