One of our partners, The Village Church, is sending another team over to Sudan. They are being led by an incredible guy, Ryan Geyer. Here is the letter that he has written so you know how to pray more specifically. Please take time to lift them up and follow what they will be doing.

Friends & Family,

We will be leaving today to head for Southern Sudan Africa. Our task in
the region will be two fold:

1) Lead a pastor’s conference of 50-75 Sudanese pastors on the topic of
Biblical Ethics
2) Serve widows & orphans at two orphanages, one in Lura and one in
Morobo, Sudan.

The team of six consists of myself, Emily Geyer (my wife), Brian Walck,
Michelle Robinson, Tyler Coats, and Stephanie Ashworth. Tyler, Brian,
and I will be leading the pastors conference next Monday thru Friday,
covering a range of topics within biblical ethics including the Theology
of Work & Rest, Creation and the Fall, Men at home, work and in the
church, as well as the difference between religion and the Gospel. The
ladies will primarily be serving at the orphanages in every way ranging
from helping the ladies cook to practicing their English to relieving
them of the kids for some time so that they may rest or tend to duties
otherwise delegated.

I am particularly excited to return to the region following my trip last
June. I can assure you of our safety – we will be well taken care of
during our time in Sudan.

Particular prayer requests would be for safe travel, quick adjustment to
the culture, articulate speech (they sometimes have difficulty with our
Texan version of the English language), and clarity of thought and
discernment as we navigate our specific duties.

We will be emailing updates throughout the trip as we will have fairly
frequent email access. If you wish, you may also follow the trip on
twitter at:

We’ll also be blogging periodically at

If you would like to be taken of this list, please let me know.

I hope you all enjoy your week. We are looking forward to the trip and

Grace in Love,
